At Odense Municipality’s New Year’s Reception, 1,400 guests witnessed a moment where culture, business, and ambition come together!
The opening film shows an artistic interpretation of Odense as an ambitious, creative, and growing city.
Over the past year, KOMA ( @koma.ballet ) directed by Caroline Rodrigues, has performed throughout the city, in public spaces, companies, and institutions that represent Odense’s key business and tourism strengths. The film, together with the live performance, beautifully brings Odense’s story to life.
This is a story not told in words, but in movement. An artistic expression of the energy, curiosity, determination, and creativity that define Odense.

KOMA made a debut on the stage at the Odense Teater in March 2023 and since then has performed relevant works with artists who stand out on the national and international scene. KOMA aims to provide a unique opportunity for promising young artists in their first years of experience, providing full-time training at a high level with the technical and artistic tools for successful journey in the dance.
KOMA Ballet was created in 2022 in a collaboration between Basic Dance Training | DANSEGRUNDUDDANNELSEN and the Royal Theatre Odense Ballet School.
