DGU 10

is a collaboration between the Royal Theater Ballet School Odense and Sports Academy Denmark. The collaboration offers young people to take their 10th grade at a post-secondary school, where there is room for and focus on young sports talents who are driven by dreams and dedication, and to know how to work purposefully in order to develop and improve themselves both sportingly, academically and humanly.

At Sports Academy Denmark, you can have an after-school stay and combine it with playing your sport seriously for many hours each week without compromising on any of the parts.
There are typically 3 challenges to being a dedicated sports athlete at post-secondary school: time for training, sporting level and the setup/environment around the student.

You can also be a DGU10 if you are connected to an institution that offers education the equivalent of a 10.kl

TECHNIQUE, PERFORMANCE AND CREATIVITY

In our progressive dance training program, students of diverse backgrounds acquire proficiency and insights into ballet technique and contemporary dance while unleashing their creative potential. They cultivate courage to actively participate and contribute to advancing knowledge for prosperous performance within art and society.

Building a strong technical foundation that can be the cornerstone of dance excellence and a tool that can be an ally in the future on the long-term dance journey our curriculum is built to provide dancers with comprehensive training in various dance styles, languages and techniques , including:

In addition to theoretical classes that cover history, technique and performances in the field of arts.

We offer a comprehensive schedule featuring over 14 hours of practical classes each week. Our roster includes both regular and guest instructors who are esteemed figures, both nationally and internationally, renowned for their excellence in their respective fields of expertise.

PERFORMANCE
Through intensive rehearsals and performance opportunities, we encourage students to develop the confidence and skills during the broad journey that is the performing arts.
Through a strong emphasis on performance throughout the course, and through repeated opportunities for students to explore their creative ideas, we offer experience of working with guest teachers and choreographers allows students to experience performance at a professional level whilst still in education.

CREATIVITY:
Unleash their creativity and develop their own unique artistic voice. We believe that a journey in dance is not restricted to professional activity, the possibilities are endless, which is why we prioritize a fertile environment, which expands knowledge and encourages our students to seek identity and explore dance beyond movement. Through interdisciplinary and transversal practices such as workshops, costume design, collaboration and project creation, we understand dance as an area of knowledge, into a realm of exploration and intellectual pursuit, nurturing innovation.
