AUDITION PROCESS | DANSE GRUNDUDDANNELSE (DGU)
Are you ready to take your dance journey to the next level? At AMOK DGU, we are committed to nurturing and discovering exceptional talent. Our audition process is designed to assess each dancer's technical skill, artistic expression, and potential for growth in a dynamic, supportive environment.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
Audition Schedule:
15:30 – 16:00 | Opening and Registration in Pirouette Room
The day starts with check-in and enrollment, allowing time for you to warm up independently and get settled.
16:00 – 17:00 | Classical Ballet
We then move into a technique class. The level of the class is basic/intermediate, and goes through all the stages of it, as barre, center and diagonal
17:10 – 18:00 | Repertory/Workshop
This is a chance to learn and try a choreography phrase from one of the group’s repertoire taught during the audition. You learn a choreographic phrase taught by our artistic manager together with two dancers from the cast. Here, we look for adaptability, focus, and your ability to embody new movements. It is also your chance to feel the movement style of the choreographies performed by the group in your body.
18:00 – 18:15 | Break
Please bring your own food and drink. This break is also an opportunity to connect with other dancers and recharge for the final segment of the day
18:15 – 18:45 | Solo Performance or ImprovisationWe value creativity and individuality. During this part of the audition, you’ll have the opportunity to show something that you consider your strong point. It can be something that you have ready, prepare in advence or a small improvisation.
This phrase should not take more than 1 minute and you should bring your own music.
18:45 – 19:30 | Individual Q&A Session
At the end of the day, you will have the chance to speak directly with our team. Ask questions, share your aspirations, and learn more about what life at AMOK DGU can offer you. This is also a great opportunity for us to get to know you better.
