what is it and why we do it?
Dance is more than performance. It’s a powerful education for life. It builds body awareness, confidence, discipline, and emotional intelligence. Through movement, students learn to express themselves, think creatively, work collaboratively, and embrace diversity. Dance also supports mental well-being, strengthens time management, and nurtures leadership. Above all, it helps young people discover who they are and how they want to move through the world.
At DGU, we deeply value learning through the experiences of those who’ve already walked paths we’re just beginning to explore.
The diversity of our teachers is one of our greatest strengths, offering students a wide spectrum of perspectives, techniques, and opportunities for connection.
Over the past 12 months, our students have engaged with professionals from different countries, each bringing their own inspiring approach, language, culture and artistic journey.
So we want to bring you on board!
We want to share the stars, and the sweat too. To show how the class happens, where a choreography is born, what we've been doing and who we've been sharing with.
OPEN is an event that shortens distances, and is conceived as a community, more than a performance.
