8. LETTERS

What makes sense to say before leaving

Created collaboratively by the cast, the piece does not attempt to summarize their years with us. Instead, it embraces what feels meaningful to express before they move forward. It is collective and collaborative in the truest sense of the word, from the initial concept to its execution. The soundscape has been composed and edited by the dancers themselves, as well as the visual material presented on stage.

The Creative Director, Caroline Rodrigues, has shaped this work especially to honor a cast that has shared the studio for years, growing, questioning, failing, rebuilding, and maturing side by side. Rather than imposing a fixed narrative, the direction opens space for the dancers’ individual voices to emerge within a shared structure. The result is a work that reflects not only their artistic development, but also the invisible threads built through time: trust, friction, friendship, and collective resilience.

8.LETTERS becomes both a gesture of gratitude and a rite of passage: a space where memory and presence coexist, and where departure is marked not as an ending, but as a conscious continuation.
