The work, with a unprecedented version created especially for the festival, has the spirit of the Victorian Era; incorporates – and, in a way, embraces – the definitions of the term created floriography: where each flower was believed to carry its own specific symbolism, allowing individuals to express a wide range of emotions and intentions through the careful selection and arrangement of blooms.
In a bouquet, through the careful selection and arrangement, combining different flowers or incorporating specific blooms arrangements, individuals could convey complex messages without speaking a word. As well as the choreographic construction, the piece seeks to tell through dance a journey that accesses sensations, and genuinely explores the emotions inherent in all of us.
At the festival that celebrates HCAndersen, it is a work that unites some of the
author’s passions: between botany and dance! The piece, which explores ballet
technique, brings talents from the new generation to the stage, bridging the ancient musical style of classical music.
